EMDR Consultation for Clinicians

EMDR Consultation for Clinicians

Grow Your Confidence. Deepen Your Clinical Skills.

Learning EMDR is only the beginning. The real growth comes as you begin integrating the model with the complexity of real clinical work.

As an EMDRIA Approved Consultant-in-Training (CIT), I provide consultation for clinicians who have completed an EMDR Basic Training and are seeking to strengthen their clinical skills while working toward EMDR certification.

I offer both individual consultation and small consultation groups (now forming), creating a supportive environment where clinicians can ask questions, think through challenging cases, strengthen their understanding of the EMDR model, and continue developing confidence in their work.

Areas of Clinical Focus

My clinical practice focuses on helping adults heal from the effects of trauma and adverse life experiences. Areas of particular interest include:

  • PTSD and Complex PTSD

  • Domestic violence and coercive relationships

  • Childhood trauma

  • Complicated grief and loss

  • Caregiver stress

  • Phobias

  • Anxiety disorders

  • Attachment wounds

  • Complex relationship dynamics

Many clinicians seek consultation when they encounter cases that don't fit neatly into a protocol. Together, we can think through case conceptualization, target sequencing, readiness for processing, blocked processing, interweaves, dissociation, and the many clinical decisions that make EMDR both an art and a science.

My Consultation Style

Consultation is not about perfection—it's about developing confidence, curiosity, and clinical judgment.

My approach is collaborative, supportive, and practical. I believe we learn best in an environment where questions are welcomed and uncertainty can be explored without fear of criticism.

During consultation, we'll identify what is already working well while also discovering specific, actionable ways to strengthen your clinical skills. My goal is for you to leave each consultation with greater clarity, confidence, and practical tools you can immediately apply with your clients.

EMDR has transformed the way I practice psychotherapy. Since becoming EMDR Certified in 2020, I have witnessed the remarkable capacity clients have to heal when treatment is thoughtfully paced, well-conceptualized, and grounded in the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model.

I am passionate about helping newer EMDR clinicians build confidence while maintaining fidelity to the model. Supporting therapists in their professional growth ultimately benefits every client they serve.

Consultation Options

  • Individual consultation

  • Small consultation groups (currently forming)

Do consultation hours count toward EMDR certification?

As an EMDRIA Approved Consultant-in-Training (CIT), I provide consultation under the guidance of my EMDRIA Approved Consultant. Please contact me to discuss how consultation hours may apply toward your professional goals and current EMDRIA requirements.

What can I bring to consultation?

Anything you're wrestling with clinically. Common topics include:
